A Stone’s Throw is a multi-venue coastal music festival rooted in North Shields, bringing together emerging talent, left-field favourites and established names for a full day of discovery. Since launching, the festival has welcomed artists such as White Lies, Sundara Karma, Vistas, Pip Blom, The Horrors, Shame, Katy J Pearson, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, alongside a deep undercard of regional and grassroots acts. The focus has always been on carefully curated line-ups, meaningful artist progression and showcasing new music in spaces that feel close, characterful and connected to the town itself.

On the day, the festival unfolds as a music trail across a cluster of venues along the coastline. Artists perform across staggered sets from early afternoon into the evening, allowing audiences to move between spaces and catch multiple performances without clashes becoming overwhelming. A dedicated festival bus runs throughout the day, linking venues and keeping everything flowing smoothly. It’s deliberately unhurried and human-scale - arrive early, explore new artists, grab food and drinks locally, and settle into the rhythm of the town as the day builds. A Stone’s Throw isn’t about rushing from headline to headline; it’s about spending a day immersed in music, place and community.
